Competency gateway

The UKCA acknowledges that candidates may have had prior training through other organisations, individuals or may be self taught. The competency gateway are accessible at Level 1 and Level 2 guide assessments. This means that anyone who believes they have the skills and experience to bypass training can access the assessments directly. Candidates can access the full syllabuses and assessment criteria on this webpage.

If you wish to use the competency gateway process we recommend you contact the training provider or the UKCA team to discuss this process.
